Introducing the Amayda Program

The Amayda Program (Program) reduces disruptions, conflict and bullying, lifts attendance, and gives teachers back valuable time – supporting better learning outcomes from Prep to Year 12. Built from science and psychology, this proven Program is research-driven and evidence-based, designed around known risk and protective factors, and reviewed by our academic team and a clinical psychologist. It improves both student and teacher safety and wellbeing, providing practical ways to manage conflict and bullying, while strengthening self-worth, emotional regulation and relationships. 

Culture is shaped by everyone – students, teachers, staff and parents – so we take an all-in approach. Our guiding policy is “No one gets hurt” – physically or emotionally – and we seek win-win outcomes that support both the target and the aggressor. Schools should be places where everyone feels safe, appreciated, respected and happy.

Focused on prevention, diffusion, negotiation, and de-escalation, the Program equips individuals with effective self-protection skills. These age-relevant, easy-to-learn strategies enable students and teachers to resolve situations on their own or with the assistance of others, always seeking a win-win outcome.

Statistically, many child bullies are victims themselves. Understanding how to break this cycle is an important part of the solution.

Improving Mental Well-being

We tackle mental wellbeing proactively, emphasising prevention and support through education. Following the World Health Organisation's guidance, mental health is viewed as a state of being that enables people to navigate life's challenges, realise their potential, excel in learning and work, and contribute to their community. It transcends the mere absence of disorders - it's the essence of quality living, distinguishing between mere existence and truly thriving.

Fostering Connections

As students embrace their self-worth, their thoughts and feelings improve and resilience and relationships grow, strengthening connections with peers, teachers, admin staff, siblings, parents, friends, and the wider community. Valuing their uniqueness naturally extends to appreciating the uniqueness in others. Self-respect becomes the catalyst, cultivating mutual respect for all.

Developing Self-Respect and Respect for Others

Our in-house clinical psychologist offers valuable insights to guide students in developing the most crucial relationship in the world – the one with themselves. This relationship is unavoidable, lasting a lifetime, and serves as the bedrock for all others. Globally, and in Australia, suicide rates are approximately double that of murder, underscoring the significance of self-connection. The Program emphasises the intrinsic value of every individual, promoting the belief that everyone is unique. Rather than comparisons, students learn to appreciate themselves and others.

Program Duration

The Program has five age-relevant, engaging levels from Prep to Grade 12 and is typically conducted over ten half-hour lessons at primary school and ten one-hour lessons at secondary school (Grades 7-10), with the Leadership level (Grades 11 and 12) conducted over five one-hour lessons.  All students complete the program in the first year and for subsequent years, only the new students and those progressing to the next level. The impact doesn’t end with the program; our Culture Pack and Mentor App ensure continuous support until students complete Grade 12. Further, our technology platform monitors behavioural data before and after implementation of the Program, so schools can monitor the effectiveness of the Program.
